How It All Started
John Kranz opened Palace Motors in September of 1982. At that time, Palace Motors was a Chevrolet store. In 1984, John purchased the Oldsmobile franchise and brought it to the current location. Then, in 1989, John purchased the Buick, GMC, Pontiac, Cadillac and Jeep franchises. John's son Scott joined the dealership in 1990, and in 1998, John began selling the store to Scott. Palace Motors is locally owned and operated. There is a strong family commitment to the success of the store ... hence the slogan, "Commitment Set In Motion."
